Jennifer hopes wrist heals in time for Open

Jennifer Rosales hopes her injured wrist will heal in the next seven days in time for the Weetabix Women’s British Open in Berkshire, England where she would take another crack at the majors after her ill-fated US Open stint.

"She will really play in the British Open because it’s a major and she had prepared hard for this event," said Rosales’ mentor Bong Lopez.

But Rosales’ preparation hit a snag when she was forced to withdraw in the first round of the Evian Masters in France Wednesday, citing a swollen wrist she sustained after hitting on a stone-riddled bunker shot on the 10th fairway of the Evian Masters Golf Club.

"Medyo maga talaga pero pahinga lang, masahe at
therapy okay na yan next week," added Lopez of Rosales’ heavily-bandaged right wrist.

It was actually the same wrist which Rosales’ injured when she launched her 2004 campaign in the Welch’s/Fry Championship in Arizona in March where she pulled out after carding a 75 in the first round.

Meanwhile, Lopez said that Rosales’ golf clubs remained missing as of yesterday but he added that his ward isn’t worried a bit on the prospect of using another set of clubs in the British Open.
