Mayol stakes OPBF belt vs Rubillar today

Rodel Mayol will stake his Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation mini-flyweight crown when he takes on Ernesto Rubillar today at the Forts NBC Tent.
The title fight is the centerpiece of The Live Match, a black tie, by invitation only charity affair the Springboard Foundation is organizing to raise funds for Filipino children and their families.
Boxing promoter Edgardo "Boy" Cantada has also lined up a four-round exhibition bout featuring former world champion Gerry Peñalosa and Robert Dalisay.
The title fight will be televised on Sunday, May 23 in the popular television boxing show Fistorama starting at 2 p.m. on RPN-9. The rest of the fight card will be shown in the succeeding weekly episodes.
Major sponsors are San Miguel Beer, Ford, Gillette, Jardine Schindler, Circulan Macroxan and Lufthansa Cargo.
