What used to be a competitive round becomes a friendly meeting when the Ateneo-La Salle Golf Fellowship is held June 5 at the four championship courses of the sprawling Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite.
Carrying the theme "Stronger Together", the event will feature one player from each school competing as a team and will be vying for honors in four different division based on their handicaps.
The two-man modified scramble format that will be used is expected to put more excitement into the chase for division honors and stress the importance of teamwork.
Under the format, both team members will hit separate tee shots. They will then choose their best drive and will follow this sequence until they hit the green. But as soon as they are on the green, the putting sequence will be on alternate basis with the player whose ball was not selected putting first.
