FedEx-San Juan stays unbeaten

Ryan Christopher Monteclaro scored 31 points as FedEx-San Juan stayed unbeaten in the Burlington-PBA Jr. Summer Basketball League with a 116-55 demolition of Ginebra-Makati yesterday at the PhilSports Arena.
Monteclaro scored 18 of his output in the first quarter as the Jr. Express stormed to a huge 33-9 advantage after one quarter to virtually secure their third win in Group A.
Mark Joseph Aparecio tallied 18 points to pace the Jr. Kings, who absorbed their first defeat in three games.
In the other game, Red Bull-Pasay won by default over Coca-Cola-Marikina, which showed up with an incomplete lineup. The win was the first for the Jr. Barakos in Group B while the Jr. Tigers picked up their third straight loss.
Over at the Araneta Coliseum, Purefoods-Taguig defeated Sta. Lucia-Pasig, 62-49, to tie Ginebra-Makati at second spot with 2-1 (win-loss) card in Group A. The Jr. Realtors absorbed their third loss in as many games.
