Lancer at stake in Forest Hills Invit’l

The third Forest Hills Invitational, a four-day two-man team event, begins today at the Forest Hills Golf and Country Club.

Half of the players’ field start their first round today as they vie for the championship trophies and the fabulous hole-in-one prizes that include a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer, courtesy of Diamond Motor Corp.

Golforce Inc. and Sun Cellular are co-presenting the tournament, which is also staking a complete Wilson golf set, a Motor Bike from Supreme Bikes and P100,000 for the lucky ace makers.

Bagaberde Grill & Bar, CJH Dev. Co., Foodlink, MRT, TaylorMade Adidas Golf, Sports Specialists World Wide Inc., Wilson Sports and GMA-7 through COO & EVP Jimmy Duavit, are the major sponsors. Other sponsors are Coppertone, Dusit Hotel Nikko, Emeritus Security, Fairways & Bluewater, Lipovitan, Poblador Bautista Reyes Law Office, The Spa-Libis, and Zesto.

Organized by the Sports and Games Committee led by chairman and tournament director Victor de Guzman, the affair will have two shotgun tee-offs—6:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Format of tournament play for today is best ball.

Entertainment in the awards night Sunday will be provided by one of the hottest acoustic bands in the music industry, Nyoy Volante and Mannos.
