Forest Hills set to stage invitational May 6-9

Forest Hills Golf and Country Club is all set to stage the third edition of the "Forest Hills Invitational," an annual two-man team golf tournament, scheduled May 6-9.

The par-71, Jack Nicklaus-designed course will again play host to about 400 golfers in the event organized by the club’s sports and games committee led by chairman and tournament director Victor de Guzman.

Diamond Motor Corp. is staking a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer at Hole No. 7 as hole-in-one prize. A Wilson golf set, scooter and P100,000 are also up for grab for the lucky acemakers in the other par 3s.

Golforce Inc. and Sun Cellular are co-presenting the affair with Bagaberde Grill & Bar, TaylorMade Adidas Golf, CJH Dev’t. Co., Foodlink, MRT, Wilson Sports, and Sports Specialists Worldwide Inc. as major sponsors.

Other sponsors are Coppertone, Dusit Hotel Nikko, Emeritus Security and Maintenance Systems Inc., Fairways and Bluewater, Lipovitan, Poblador Bautista Reyes Law Office, and Zest-O.

Club members Mark Chua, Eric Lim and Naty Toribio are expected to defend their titles, not necessarily with the same guests last year, in Classes A, B and C, respectively.

Nyoy Volante and Mannos, one of the hottest acoustic acts today, will provide the entertainment during the awards night.
