Adidas streetball on at SM park

The extreme half-court game of street basketball returns as adidas stages the adidas Streetball Challenge 2004 with the kick-off leg for National Capital Region slated today at the SM Megamall open area parking grounds.

The event actually got underway with the screening of teams last April 11-15 in front of the adidas Brand store Ali Mall and at the adidas shop at the upper ground floor level, building A of SM Megamall.

Competition goes full blast at the Ateneo De Naga on April 23, Dela Salle Lipa on April 25, St. John School, Dagupan on April 29, St. Louis University of Baguio on May 2 and Robinsons Star Mills in Pampanga on May 7 to 9.

For the Visayas phase, the qualifying run will be held May 21 at the University of San Agustin, Iloilo; May 23 at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod and at the SM Cebu on May 28-30.

For the Mindanao face-offs, Corpus Christi High School Cagayan de Oro will host the event on June 11, Ateneo De Zamboanga on June 13 and at the Gaisano Mall of Davao on June 18-20. The National Finals is scheduled on July 3 and 4 at SM Baguio.

The adidas streetball challenge 2004 is co-presented by Globe Gentext in cooperation with WG&A zip, Cebu Pacific, adidas fragrance and body care for men, Snickers Chocolates, Powerade, Milo, Mentos, Studio 23 and Warner Music.
