Fil-Estate swim, tennis camps open for summer

The Fil-Estate Sports Foundation, Inc. (FESFI) summer swimming and tennis camps remain open to prospective enrolees for the months of April and May.

The two-part swimming classes are being conducted by Melbourne Olympian Gertrudes "Tuding" Lozada at the Manila Southwoods Sports Club in Carmona, Cavite.

The tennis clinic, on the other hand, is being managed by former RP Davis Cup team captain Manny Tecson at the Manila Southwoods and Bramanate Tennis Courts in Renaissance Center in Pasig City.

"Through our annual summer swimming and tennis camps, we hope to raise sports awareness among our youth," said FESFI chairman Robert John Sobrepeña.

The swimming clinic by Lozada offers basic water safety lessons to beginners and advance competitive lectures to serious swimmers.

The tennis clinic is divided into beginners, intermediate, advance, competitive (part-time) and competitive (full-time).

Training fees are: tennis — P2,500 (beginners), P3,000 (intermediate, advance) and P5,000 (competitive-full time); swimming — P4,000 (basic water safety) and P5,000 (advance/competitive).

The annual swimming and tennis camps are being supported by CAP Phils., R.R. Payumo and Partners, Camp John Hay, Bramante Piazza, Manila Southwoods Manor Hotel, Bramante Fitness Center, Wilson Sports, Accel Sports Wear, Garden Plaza Apartelle, Gaspeed, Splash Island and Metrorail Transit Corp.
