In a move to reinforce its tag as the countrys sports mecca, Cebu City hosts the Globe Gentxt Invasion competitive/sports aerobics marathon on Saturday at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Registration starts at 2 p.m. but the competition will run from 3-6 p.m.
The aerobics marathon has two categories featuring both able-bodied and physically fit students and professionals in Cebu. Competition will have three stages of low impact aerobics, hip hop/street dance and taebo/kickboxing for the male and female divisions.
Team trio competition is open to students only.
Ley Fernandez, Philippine International Competitive Aerobics Federation (PICAF) secretary-general, will supervise the event together with PICAF national coach and athletes Lenlen Espiritu, Toots Ensomo and Jill Ann Roy.
A high intensity exhibition number by the RP aerobics team will highlight the opening ceremony.
