Rizal HS studes try mettle in Beam-Zest-O run

Its now the turn of Rizal High School students to show off their running skills as close to a thousand bets answer the starting gun at 6 a.m. today in the Beam-Zest-O Patakbong Pinoy 5-km leg in Pasig City.
"We are very happy with the enthusiasm being shown by the students and we hope that this will be as successful as that of the previous legs in Manila, Laguna and recently in Quezon City," said Jortel Promotions head Nelson Macaraig. "We feel we have already carved a niche among the young students runners. We know for a fact that Rizal High School is the biggest high school in the world."
The Media Runners and Sports Promotions have joined hands with the Rizal High School principal Josephine Cruz, Physical Education head Danny Reyes and Social Studies head Ruben Echivarria to make the preparations of the Beam-Zest-O runs fourth leg smooth as the event embarks on provincial legs next.
Special guests are Pasig City councilors Boy Tatco and Gregorio "Orly" Rupisan, Jr. Andy Santiago will be on hand during the race, which offers cash prizes to the top 10 placers in both the boys and girls divisions.
