"I still have a mission to do for the league and for Philippine basketball so I decided to reconsider my resignation and continue what I have started doing," Trinidad said.
Trinidads return was welcomed by the leagues board of directors chaired by Dioceldo Sy of DSS Productmakers, Inc. which owns Blustar Detergent.
"Its a welcome news," said Sy. "He was responsible for carrying the league this far and its just fitting that he finishes the job."
Trinidad, who returned to the country just last week after a trip to the United States, resigned in haste following what he branded as a "blatant disrespect" by some players from Welcoat Paints to the Commissioners Office during the Platinum Cup finals.
"I cant turn my back on these people who trusted me all these years," Trinidad said. "These same people rallied behind me after I resigned and Im deeply touched by these gestures."
With the controversy and the friction between him and Welcoat now behind him, Trinidad said hell be focusing his attention in helping the country form a more competitive national team in the future.
