Bannered by the countrys top local and imported gallopers, the featured event carries a total prize pot of P1-million and is set to be disputed over a unique distance of 1,750-meters at the SLLPs sweeping outer track.
No less than former President Corazon Aquino will be honored during the occasion, in recognition of her role in the restoration of Philippine democracy, as well as, in rejuvenating the growth and development of the local horse racing industry.
"It was during the term of President Aquino when local horse racing was granted numerous incentives by the government that eventually paved the way for the industrys explosive growth," noted Philracom chairman Jaime Dilag.
Last years dual classic winner Red Star Rising sets out as top favorite for the big race, bidding to finally lay claim to the title undisputed track champion.
