Welcoat plots big comeback

-
Expect Welcoat Paints to come out stronger and more determined in the next PBL conference.

After emerging as proud, happy losers in the recent Platinum Cup to Fash, the Paintmasters are already plotting their return to the top.

Welcoat co-owners Raymund Yu and Terry Que congratulated Fash owner Cecilio Pedro and the whole squad for a job well done in the series.

"No doubt about it, Fash wanted it more than us. But this is not to take away the credit from my players and coach Leo (Austria). They gave it their best shot," Yu said.

The overwhelming fans support also lessened the pain of losing the championship, according to Yu.

"We lost the championship, but we came out of it with our integrity intact. The outpouring of support from Welcoat fans gladdens the heart," said co-owner Raymund Yu.

Yu said fans can expect a highly-competitive team in the coming conference.

"There are lots of talents available. Welcoat has an obligation to the fans. We must give them wonderful games," said Yu.

Co-owner Terry Que said they didn’t feel as bad as others would have expected due to the warmth of the fans.
