Espinola rules SRAP squash

National player Ricky Espinola spilled Robert Garcia, 9-7, 9-7, 9-4, recently to win the first leg of the Milo/SRAP National Squash Circuit at the Manila Polo Club courts.
Ernie Lopez and Junnie Lecaros shared the honors with Espinola by prevailing in classes B and C, respectively, of the event organized by the Squash Rackets Association of the Philippines, sponsored by Milo and supported by the Philippine Sports Commission with Dunlop as official ball.
Lopez beat Gutsy Tuason, 9-6, 9-5, 9-5, while Lecaros humbled Junnie Bagadiong, 9-0, 9-3, 9-2.
Roden Banquilay, Jessie Lapore and Mike Mapa finished third in the open, B and C classes, respectively.
Banquilay downed Joboy Antipala, 9-3, 9-7, 5-9, 10-8; Lapore whipped Edgar Lee, 9-7, 9-5, 9-7; and Mapa outlasted Frederick Nicolon, 7-9, 7-9, 9-7, 9-0, 9-1.
