Two brand-new Mitsubishi Lancer GLS 1600cc A/T cars are at stake as hole-in-one prizes on No. 6 (north) and No. 8 (south) with six other fabulous prizes lined up for ace makers in both courses.
These are the Samsung Home Theater showcase (No. 4), Nokia celfone (No. 11) and TCL CTV 29" (No. 15) on the north course and Carrier A/C (No. 4), Philips Flat CTV 21" (No. 13) and Pioneer mini component (No. 17) on the south layout.
Except for the two cars, all hole-in-one prizes will be raffled off in case no one scores an ace.
Michael Kobayashi and partner Sadamu Fujimoto are back to defend the title they won in the member-guest team event over a big field last year and so do runner-up Roberto de Ocampo with new teammate Lito Castrillo and the tandem of Cheman Yulo-Lucy Landicho, which placed third last year.
Other member-guest teams include Sen. Tito Sotto-Nelson Cheng, ace amateur Juvic Pagunsan-Mel Alviar, celebrity Vic Sotto-Ulay Garcia, reigning DHL Amateur Open champion Abe Rosal-Bones Floro, and Cangolf’s big boss Luigi Yulo-Allan Tabhan.
At stake in the annual event held in honor of the former late Speaker are the overall team championship, individual awards in various categories, and the low net, gross and the lowest gross team.
Tee-off time will be at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow while the tournament will have a shotgun start in the final day on Sunday starting at 8 a.m. (south) and 8:30 a.m. (north).
