Cebu boardwalk to kick off four-leg moto

-
The Cebu Boardwalk Motocross Series kicks off on Jan. 11, setting off the motocross track of the Cebu Boardwalk project as a regular venue for motocross races locally and internationally.

This was announced by Eric Cruz, executive vice president of the F.F. Cruz and Co., Inc., which soon puts on course the development of the 180-hectare Cebu North Reclamation area into the Cebu Boardwalk–Metro Cebu’s newest commercial and leisure district and another Philippine pride.

The kickoff race of the four-leg Cebu Boardwalk Motocross Series is part of the much-awaited Sinulog 2004 festivities. About 100 top riders from all over the country are expected to participate. It will take place at the North Reclamation Area along Ouano Avenue, Mandaue City, Cebu.

The excitement being generated for the motocross series mirrors in part the anticipation for the Cebu Boardwalk, a masterplanned landscaped business and leisure hub with the unique marina and promenade fronting the Mactan Channel.

The project by F.F. Cruz and Co., Inc. will be a fusion of similar waterfront development concepts such as the Boardwalk of Atlantic City, the Clark Quay and Harbor Quay of Singapore, and the Irvine Spectrum of Los Angeles, combined with local Cebu architecture to make a distinctly unique Philippine destination. The Cebu Boardwalk aims to provide Metro Cebu with an alternative lifestyle center that will provide entertainment, retail and commercial amenities with the backdrop of open spaces on the Mactan Channel.
