Ilusorio Cup on today in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – Accuracy, patience in attacking the greens and course management will be the key factors in the fourth Nanoy Ilusorio Golf Cup which fires off today at the rolling but tricky par 61 Baguio Country Club (BCC) golf course.

The one-day golf tournament is in honor of the late (Nanoy) Ilusorio, BCC president emeritus, and chairman for life.

"The tournament was conceived to give impetus on the life and works of Nanoy – a sportsman, a leader and a visionary, whose heart and ideals have touched lives of countless people," said Agcaoili.

Anthony de Leon, BCC general manager, said: "The tournament is a tribute to Nanoy. He is our No. 1 supporter, not only in golf but almost all field of sports and also in the field of commerce."

"He (Nanoy) believed in the capability of every Filipino in attaining the best and by organizing this event, participants will enable them to demonstrate their sporting skills."

Some 200 players mostly members of BCC and their guests are seeing action in this one-day golf event supported by Smart Phils. Inc., WH Consultants Inc. and Harle.
