Legend Tee golf to unfold in Subic

All roads lead to Subic Bay tomorrow when the third Legend Tee golf tournament, a fund-raising tournament for Tabang Mindanaw to help indigenous people and war victims in Mindanao, is staged at Subic Bay Golf & Country Club at the Subic Bay Freeport.
SBMA chair Felicito Payumo, Presidential assistant for Northern Luzon Renato Diaz and Rep. Ruben Torres lead the distinguished guests invited to the one-day event, organized by Legend International Resorts Ltd. (LIRL) to help support Tabang Mindanaw, a civic group devoted to assisting the recovery and welfare of the children-victims of the armed conflict in Mindanao.
Former Miss Universe and Tabang Mindanaw task force member Margie Moran heads the ceremonial tee-off at 9 a.m. She will also conduct a presentation of the beneficiary during the awarding ceremony at 6 p.m. at Legenda Hotels garden terrace.
The event is sponsored by Cebu Pacific, Borneo Tours, Dynamic Sports, Inc., Global Air 21, GTS Insurance, the Indonesian Embassy, Metroplex Berhad, Premiere Wines & Spirits, Standard Insurance, Subic Bay Yacht Club, 99.5 RT and 103.5 K-Lite, Trading Gateways, Inc., SBMA and Legenda Hotel and supported by Universal Motors Corp. and Kalakbayan Travel.
Registration is still on-going, according to LIRL, which operates the five-star Legenda Hotel, the Grand Seasons Hotel and Legenda Suites in Subic.
The event informally opens today with the Tabang Mindanaws exhibit at 5 p.m. at the lobby of Legenda Hotel with participants from Manila, Bataan, Zambales and nearby areas, and from as far as Taiwan, Malaysia and Korea expected to grace the event.
A brand-new 4x2 Nissan Frontier Pick-up will be given to the first player to score a hole-in-one feat while round-trip tickets to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia await winners in the individual and team competitions. Year-round memberships to the posh Legenda Hotels Legendary Gold Club are also up for grabs in the special categories such as the longest drive, most accurate drive and others.
