Norman Black holds cage clinic for 12-18

Interested young basketeers can still enlist with Norman Black’s Burlington Basketball Skills Camp as it returns on Nov. 8 at Phelps Dodge Gym, Pioneer St., Mandaluyong.

The cage clinic, which will be held 9-12 a.m. for seven Saturdays, is open to boys and girls aged 12 to 18 years old.

Aside from teaching the regular advanced scientific cage techniques in shooting, dribbling, passing, ballhandling, defense, rebounding, offense, movement with and without the ball, the Burlington socks sponsored-camp is also geared towards further developing the basketball skills of young players through plyometrics.

Plyometrics training entails advanced training methods personally conducted by the pros that will harness a student’s flexibility, agility and vertical leap.

Black, the multititled-coach and Burlington endorser, will be joined in the clinic by former PBA basketeers Samboy Lim, Hector Calma, Chito Loyzaga, Eric Reyes, Biboy Ravanes and other cage coaches.

Enrollees will be entitled to free socks, balls and t-shirts. Camp fee is P3,000. The organizers are also arranging school tours to be held before the Christmas vacation to bring the camp closer to the students.
