New chess association sets meeting

-
The newly-formed Philippine Chess Masters Association is holding an officers’ meeting tomorrow to map out plans for its forthcoming chess tournaments starting in December.

Venue is the Aspire Solutions office of Noel Garcia on the 24th floor of Pacific Star Bldg. in Ermita, Manila. The meeting starts at 4 p.m.

The PCMA, headed by National Master lawyer Quirino Sagario, elected its first set of officers two weeks ago to explore possibilities of conducting regular national and regional chess tournaments to provide Filipino chess players with a venue to develop their talents.

The other officers are International Master Chito Garma (vice president), Ronald Llavanes (secretary), Dante Zuniga (treasurer), Petronio Roca (PRO)) and Barlo Nadera (auditor).
