BACOLOD CITYUnseeded Aileen Rogan blasted Katrina Pange, 6-0, 6-0, yesterday to advance in the womens singles quarterfinals against top-ranked Ana Patricia Santos in the Luis Hilado Memorial Cup Tennis Championships at the Negros Occidental Tennis Association (NOTA) courts here.
In other matches, Espie Penalosa dumped Fatima Peralta, 6-1, 6-1, to advance against second seed Alyssa Anne Labay, Trudy Amoranto rallied past Shirley Valler, 7-6 (3), 7-5, to advance against No. 3 Bien Zoleta and Lenlen Rodriguez demolished Marietta Erorita, 6-0, 6-0, to advance against fourth seed Czarina Mae Arevalo.
In the mens singles division, third pick Adelo Abadia blanked Eking Dondonay, 6-0, 6-0, to join top seed Johnny Arcilla and No. 2 Joseph Victorino in the second round.
Fifth seed Alexander Lazaro defeated Kyle Joshua Dandan, 6-4, 6-4, to advance against Chiemel Mantua while seventh seed Elbert Annasta downed Jojo Torrecampo, 6-2, 6-2, to advance against Gilbert Estrada.
