Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball regular campaigners Game Ann Septo and partner Lou Maranon, together with Aileen Ybanez and Gretchen Deposoy, advanced to the third leg finals at the La Salle Greenhills beach volleyball courts yesterday.
First leg runners-up Septo and Maranon turned back their rivals Katherine Sotejo and Kristea Ricana to again advance to the championship round of this two-day volleyball extravaganza sponsored by Petron and organized by the Volts Management Group.
They will battle in the championship round Ybanez and Deposoy, who had an easier time clobbering the pair of Evelyn Reyes and Cherrie Ann Garcia, 21-4 , in the volleyfest, which aims to provide young ladies a fun, competitive chance to represent themselves and their sponsors.
Crowd favorite Isabel Granada and her partner Mary Sol Teves wowed the crowd with their good looks and even won their opening game at 21-18 against St. Francis of Assisi standouts Raymonette Panelo and Joyce Realiza before being swept away in the latter rounds.
Tisha Abundo, executive director of the organizing Volts Management Group, said the champion will receive P10,000, and the runner-up P5,000.
Volts thanked DLS-Greenhills president Bro. Bernie Oca for providing the venue for the two-day volleyfest, which has Speedo as the official outfitter.
