Bacolod Representative Monico Puentevella requested yesterday the Commission on Audit to conduct a lifestyle check on top officials and executives of the Philippine Sports Commission and the Games and Amusements Board.
Puentevella, who chairs the House committee on youth and sports, said he personally talked to CoA chairman Guillermo Carague about his recent call for a lifestyle check on sports officials and he expects results in two weeks time.
"Well wait for the findings and see if well make public announcements, file charges or clear people if they are really clean," said Puentevella.
"Wala pang sagot so far but we expect them to come up with their findings in two weeks or less," added the former sports commissioner.
Top PSC executives Ed Mateo, Ike Buan and Tatz Suzara all said they had submitted their respective statements of assets and liabilities (SALs) as early as five weeks ago.
"Im clean and I have nothing to hide," said Mateo, the agencys acting executive director who also handles the PSC finances. Joey Villar
