The Philippine 0lympic Committee (POC) has given the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) until the end of August to bring in the international footballers who will reinforce the RP football squad this December in the SEA Games in Vietnam.
Some of the players will be coming for trials while others will be sending their resumes and letters of intent. The Pinoy-internationals are all under 23 years of age. They play in a variety of positions from keeper to defense, mid and attack and may be groomed for future participation in the 2005 SEA Games in Manila.
The Fil-Am/Euro-Fil footballers are: Andy and Sascha Prochnow from Germany; Robert Hollands, Michael Napolitano and Chris Greatwich from England, and Robert struebeck and Robert Watwood from the USA. The Pinoy-English footballers play with second division clubs in England.
Its a last ditch effort by the PFF to get the POC to send a national football squad to participate in the SEA Games in December.
