The Coca-Cola Champions Basketball Clinic, part of Coca-Colas integrated Healthy and Active Lifestyle (HAL) program in coordination with the Department of Health, will be held at the Ladislawa Country Club gym in Buhangin, Davao City tomorrow.
A free whole-day intensive tutorial on the basics of basketball designed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle among youth, the clinic will be handled by Coca-Cola coach Chot Reyes and his assistants Biboy Ravanes, Nash Racela and Aboy Castro.
Members of the Coca-Cola Tigers team will give personalized on-court mentoring on ball-handling, individual moves, rebounding, post defense and mechanics, shooting and perimeter defense.
Aside from physical activities, the HAL program has two other major components in awareness campaign and a nutrition enhancement program to be implemented in some remote public schools soon.
"Coca-Cola has had a longstanding dedication to supporting youth development and education. HAL addresses government concerns about the declining state of physical fitness to bring about positive change in the lives of the young by encouraging them to engage in healthy and active lifestyle," a Coca-Cola statement said.
