Unbeaten Z Gorres stakes RP title tonite

Whether Z Gorres’ ring generalship is enough to stave off the challenge of rugged Edgar Rodrigo will be known tonight at 8 when the undefeated Cebuano makes his first defense of the Philippine flyweight throne at the Makati Coliseum.

Noted for his excellent lateral movement and decent punching power, Gorres, a protege of Cebu king maker Tony Aldeguer and manage by Atty. Rudy Salud, encounters a tough fight in Rodrigo, who has vowed to spoil the party being laid out by Gorres’ camp.
