Nationals show way in PBC Open

Members of the national team showed the way in the 32nd Boysen-PBC International Open Bowling Championships, which kicked off Friday at the Green Valley Country Club in Pasig.
The Boysen-Euromed trio of Irene Benitez, Jojo Canare and Liza Del Rosario dominated Bowlmarts Liza Clutario, Yap Seok Kim and Cecilia Yap, 1186-1121, to take the early lead in the ladies team event (class O) while Al Dy, Freddie Alcaraz and Jack Interia scored 1193 pins to take the upperhand in the mens side over the threesome of Elmer de Leon, Papio de Dios and Toss Renacia (1148).
A well-attended opening ceremonies, delayed for a few minutes by rain and heavy traffic, ushered in the two-week long meet sponsored by Boysen, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Kegel Asia and AVIVA.
