Ferrer scored all but two of his 13 points in the final period that virtually sealed a fourth win in nine outings for the Archers, who remained in the hunt for one of the three semifinal berths.
But more than Ferrers endgame explosion, it was ICTSIs defense that anchored their victory as the Archers held Nutri-licious top gunners Nelbert Omolon and Chico Lanet to just 21 points after combining for a whopping 60-point output in a 88-85 double overtime win over Hapee Toothpaste in Cebu Friday.
The Archers also erased the stigma of an 81-73 loss to Viva Mineral Water also in Cebu in a game they led by as many as 19 points.
It was the Juicers fifth loss against three wins.
In the other game, June Peter Simon hit two foul shots with 4.2 seconds to go as Hapee Toothpaste edged Viva Mineral Water, 64-62, to regain the lead with a 7-2 card.
