Knights rout Kings; Bombers prevail

-
Defending champion Letran Knights outplayed Hoop It Up Kings, 91-79, at the start of the Filipino—Indian Basketball League (FIBL) at the Makati Coliseum last Sunday.

The Jing Ruiz-mentored Knights jumped the gun on the Kings early and led by as many as 13, 25-12, which they used as the springboard to post the easy victory.

Ravi Gurnamal fired 29 points for the Knights, who also drew 17 and 15 points from Vishal Murjani and Mukesh Mohnani, respectively.

In the first game, the Bombay Bombers spoiled the coaching debut of former PBA best import Bobby Parks as the Bombers posted a convincing 55-44 win over the Titans.

Earlier, Indian Ambassador to the Philippines Navrekha Sharma and Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay made the ceremonial toss with FIBL commissioner Dilip Budhrani.
