RP water polo team shines

MEDAN, Indonesia — The Philippines crushed Indonesia, 16-4, Sunday to capture the 2003 Indonesian Water Polo Open title here.

The Filipinos banked on the sterling performance of Joel, Villa, Don Tolentino, Roy Canete, Ricardo Dilapdilap and Michael Jorolan to dump the Indons. The Filipinos raced to a 5-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. The Indons scored only two goals in the second quarter and one each in the remaining two quarters while the Filipinos delivered 11 more.
