Sta. Lucia expands national sports development program

Sta. Lucia Realtys wide network of exclusive subdivisions will boost the cause of national sports development at grassroots level with the scheduled launch of the ambitious Sta. Lucia Community Sports Program this summer.
The program is actually a series of sports camps that will be held in selected community clubhouses of Sta. Lucia-developed subdivisions and opened not just to village residents but to other young people living within the area.
Four sports will be covered: basketball, swimming, tennis and badminton.
More importantly, all four sports camps will be handled by program partners considered experts in their respective fields. They are Nic Jorge, founder of the BEST clinics, for basketball, swimming champion Ral Rosario (swimming), Danny So (badminton) and Van Der Meer Academy graduate Nani Jimenez (tennis).
All four noted instructors will be going around sports facilities inside the Sta. Lucia-developed subdivisions following a weekly schedule that will be released soon.
Vicente Santos, executive vice president of Sta. Lucia Realty, said the program aims to make available the existing infrastructure of Sta. Lucia community clubhouses for the promotion of various sports with the long-term vision of being able to boost the search for champion athletes.
"Although most of the facilities in subdivisions like pools and courts were designed for residents to enjoy, the program will bring learning to a different level not just for them but also for all those within the vicinity," said Santos.
