Blando bags LG regional junior net crown

TACLOBAN CITY — Mervin Blando of Ormoc posted an 11-5, 11-4, 11-5, 11-7 victory over Edilbert Impuesto of Cebu to capture the boys’ 17-under crown in the second leg of the LG Regional Junior Table Tennis Circuit at the Leyte Capitol gym.

Impuesto took the silver while compatriot Glendo Nayre settled for the bronze. Chino Barrios downed fellow Manila bet Adrian Pablo, 4-2, in the finals aired over local station 99.1 FM to bag the gold in the boys’ 14-under.
