The overseer of the countrys biggest golf development project in Gen. Trias, Cavite wants work, work and more work in whatever way at the site after setting a final target date of completion for the only missing part in Eagle Ridges four-golf course menu.
A joint venture undertaking of Sta. Lucia Realty and Alsons Land Corp., Eagles 72-hole golf and residential estate development that spans over a 700-hectare property stands to be the crowning jewel of their respective corporate visions.
"The 10th and 18th are in the grow-in stage and by May, all nine holes will be grassed," said Gob. "Barring any major disruptions, the promised four-course package will be delivered in its entirety by August."
The first three courses designed by Andy Dye, Nick Faldo and Isao Aoki have all passed the standards of a championship course and now being enjoyed by the current membership as well as local and foreign guests of Eagle Ridge. There are now 63 playable holes at Eagle Ridge. Gob and his workforce are all afrenzy completing the remaining nine.
"The Norman layout has turned out to be far more beautiful than we expected as the back nine holes offer a panoramic view of the forested ravines and streams. It will definitely be another friendly course to look forward to," Gob added.
The Norman side uses the silica bunker concept, an innovation which eliminates fried egg lies and makes sand traps visible at any distance from the hitting point.
There are three clubhouses catering to each course with the spanking main golf clubhouse, which is spacious enough to accommodate 320 players at the mens locker room alone at the center of operations. The Dye and Aoki clubhouses are likewise in operation.
By late summer, some of the amenities in the sports clubhouse are also expected to be opened for use to members.
