RP Tourism Cup shifts to Canlubang

After successfully holding its first qualifying round at Sta. Elena last week, the Philippine Tourism Cup golf tournament focuses on the Southern Tagalog Region with the second round set at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club on Feb. 14 and 15.
The PTC is a year-round event being sponsored by the Department of Tourism as part of its Visit Philippines 2002 campaign. It is composed of three levels: qualifying round, regional championship and national championship.
The tournament is open to all amateur golfers with a participation fee of P600. Emi Castañeda is overall tournament director.
Twenty-two teams composed of four members each competed at Sta. Elena where the team of Henry Sy, Herbert Chan, Jeffrey Siy and Samson Lim emerged champion with 106 Stableford points.
