Derby starts at 5 p.m. bannering some 65 fights. Sponsors are Sagupaan Super Feeds, Pagcor-Casino Filipino, Heritage Hotel and Washout Shampoo.
Heading the list of the American team are Kelly Green of Alabama, reigning 2002 Texoma 11Cock Derby champion; Chuck Berry of Oklahoma, champion of the 2000 UCAP International Derby; Bobby Jones of Texas, Jimmy Cody of Alabama, Howard Belk of California, Fil-Ams George Goitia, Rene Rene Medina and Boy de Guzman of California.
But wise money bets should go on cockfight heavyweights like 1999 UCAP International Derby champion Danding Cojuangco, sabong idol Patrick Antonio, Arthur and Bebot Uy of Davao, Wacky Salud of Cebu, Choy Ampil, Otik Geroso, Bimbong Coscoluella and Mayor Juancho Aguirre of Negros, Butch Macasaet and Jun Marasigan of Batangas, Bong Pineda of Pampanga, Kenneth Chua of Iloilo, Gerry Ramos and Mayor Nene Aguilar of Las Piñas, Ashley Arayat of Cavite, Pol Estrellado of Laguna, Rep.
