Purvis Granger, head coach of the RP bowling team, showed that he still has it as a competitor as he led the top 16 bowlers in the region who will play in the "Road To Singapore" Grand Slam Finals of the Aviva Asian Bowling Tour.

Granger, who was with the victorious RP team during the Busan Asian Games, led the field by raking in a total of 167.5 points. Former world champion Tom Hahl of Singapore is in second place with 156 points.

Chester King of the Philippines is in third after winning the last leg of the Tour held in Hong Kong’s Mei Foo Super Fun Bowl last week. Completing the team in the men’s division is Paeng Nepomuceno who is currently ranked 9th.

In the women’s division, Irene Benitez and Liza del Rosario made it to the top 16, clinching the sixth and seventh positions to bring the total number of qualified players to five for the Philippines. Singapore will also have five qualified players and Malaysia will have the most number of players with 10.
