One of the main targets is holing the first putt on a designated hole which will earn a player a ticket to the national finals where the brand new car will be at stake as a prize for an ace.
The city is already abuzz with the unique format but Professional Sports Management Group head Boy Blue Ocampo said that the hole-in-one contest is just half of the fun as division winners will also get to see action in another finals along with qualifiers from the other legs.
The Samsung DigitAll Challenge is rocking the city with the just-concluded Samsung Amateur Tour, a 36-hole stroke play competition.
Co-sponsors of the tourney are TaylorMade adidas, Gatorade, Maxfli, Fila, Custom Clubmakers, Hotshots Flame-Grilled Burgers. Wave 89.1, City Lite 88.3, 103.5 K-Lite, Magic 89.9, KillerBee and 99.5 RT are radio partners.
Participation in the putting tourney is expected to surpass that of previous legs held at Aguinaldo, Canlubang and Riviera with three more (Villamor Dec. 14-15, Orchard Jan. 4-5 and Wack Wack Jan. 18-19) set to be held when the series returns to Luzon.
