Youth team shades Taguig

-
TAGUIG, Rizal– The RP Burlington Youth team made an auspicious debut in the NBL Invitational Cup tournament yesterday by nosing out Forward Taguig, 92-90, at the Tinga Gym here.

Brit Reroma split his charities in the last four seconds to finalize the count in the exciting opener of the tourney sanctioned by the Basketball Association of the Philippines.

The RP Burlington led 91-88 with 36 seconds left, but Magsalin knocked in two free throws to trim the lead by one.

Taguig’s Nuque tried to beat the buzzer with a 3-point shot, but missed.

Pitted in the other games were reigning national and Interclub champion Spring Cooking Oil against Cebu’s M. Lhuillier and defending champion Wangs Ball Club against Hartmann-Seigle.
