Tan Ho, Dandan capture PCA Open Juniors honors

Xaviers Joshua Tan Ho and Colegio San Agustins Kyle Dandan topped their respective divisions in the 21st PCA Open Juniors Tennis Championships which ended last Sunday at the PCA outdoor courts.
Tan Ho defeated Gerard Michael Ngo, 7-5, 6-1, for his fifth boys 12-under title while Dandan downed Jandrick de Castro, 6-2, 7-6 (5) for his second boys 16-under title.
In other results, PJ Tierro beat Joseph Arcilla, 6-3, 6-3, for the boys 18-under title, Christian Canlas outplayed Russell Arcilla Jr., 6-3, 6-2, for the boys 14-under title and Bernardine Siso clobbered Joseph Baldonado, 6-1, 6-0, for the unisex 10-under title.
In the girls division, Alyssa Labay rallied past Bien Zoleta, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1, for the 18-under title, Bambi Zoleta defeated Julie Em Botor, 6-4, 6-4, for the 14-under title and Nikki Manalo beat Sarah Jane Lim, 6-2, 6-3, for the 12-under title.
Meanwhile, the PCA squad composed of Susan Garcia, Anie dela Pena, Joy Sanchez, Belen Lim, Ellen Go and Deborah Yue pocketed the ladies team tennis title after posting a 2-1 victory over the Valle Verde team of Sally Ong, Ching Henson, Irene Chua, Tess Uy and Berna Baron.
