After record-breaking stops in six earlier legs, the seven-race series culminate with the Taguig stage today where Shell-Yamaha’s Leongson is expected to wrap up his pro open title.
But fierce competition will come from Aguilar, star Caltex-Revtex-KTM rider, who is coming off swashbuckling rides in Tagum and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The event is organized by the Hartebeest Entertainment Corp. and the Kabataang Iwas Droga sa tulong ng Sports (KIDS) Foundation, headed by its chairman Richard Gomez.
The final leg is made possible by Superferry, in cooperation with WG&A Freight, Bench, No Fear, ITTI Shoes, Nature’s Spring Drinking Water, Dreambikes, Crossover 105.1 and The Army Adventure Zone, through Gen. Dionisio Santiago and Col. Robert Gervacio of the Philippine Army.
Official practice day was set yesterday while race proper blasts off today.
Aside from the premier pro open and pro 125 divisions, riders will also dispute titles in the expert class, open production, beginner production, power enduro, dual sport, executive, local beginner enduro, mini class and a special category for peewee (9 and 7 years-old-and-below).
"It’s going to be an exciting day at the PAMRI Racetrack and so we’re inviting all motocross afficionados to join us," said Marilen Nunez, CEO of Hartebeest Entertainment Corp.
The Taguig leg is the culmination of the Superferry Series that also made island-hopping stops in Iloilo City, Talisay City, Mandaue City, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Dumaguete City and Cagayan de Oro.
