Coseteng to be crowned years best in Subic

Superstar Caltex-Havoline-Autoplus driver Jody Coseteng tries to cement his status as one of historys best in circuit driving when he formalizes his Driver of The Year award in the SVI Challenge at the Subic Raceway today.
So far away is Coseteng from his closest pursuers in the premier super saloon category, that he can skip the circuits final 13th and 14th rounds in Subic, and still run away with the title with plenty to spare.
But excellence is Cosetengs way of life.
"Of course, I want to end the series with a bang. There is no reason why I shouldnt treat the final two rounds with the same consistency as in my past races," said Coseteng, who is all pumped up to bag his third Driver of the Year plum.
"I am not promising anything but I, and the rest of the Caltex-Havoline team, will be going all out because everybody remembers how you end a race, and not how you started it," added Coseteng, whose car is specially designed by Autoplus.
All eyes are also on Cosetengs fellow Caltex drivers Peewee Mendiola and team captain Oscar Aguilar. Even Nilo Pascoguin and Mikko David are likewise capable of pulling off a couple of surprises. Mendiola, an eye surgeon, leads the novice division and is looking forward to tightening his grip of the leadership en route to a runaway win, while Aguilar, famed father of superstar motocross rider Glenn, is a close second to Don Pastor in the Class C division.
