Montana blasted Cheeseball-Shark, 76-62, later in the night.
The ICTSI Archers took a 2-2 win-loss card from the setback .
LBC was down at 64-65 when Compton and Baguion presided over the Blades slashing attack to wrest the lead, 81-76, with 27.4 seconds to go in the contest.
ICTSI still gave the Blades a tough time down the stretch behind two free throws by Rob Johnson and a lay-up by Reynel Hugnatan that pulled them to within three at 80-83 in the last 5.5 seconds.
But LBC-Batangas kept its composure in the ensuing play as Jason Cuevas split his charities off Bruce Dacia to seal the win.
Cuevas and MC Caceres delivered 11points apiece for the Batangas Blades while Ronald Allan Capati added 10.
Mark Cardona paced ICTSI with 20 points with Dacia and Hugnatan adding 14 and 12 points respectively.
Meanwhile, PBL commissioner Chino Trinidad suspended Cheeseball Sharks Topex Robinson and ICTSI La Salles Dino Aldeguer for one game each for figuring in an ugly incident last Saturday in Lipa City, Batangas.
"We wont tolerate this kind of behavior," said Trinidad. "Ex-pros pa man din silang dalawa, nakakahiya."
Robinson head-butted Aldeguer, formerly of the Negros Slashers, late in the second quarter in the game won by the Archers, 77-74.
Robinson was immediately ejected from the court along with Aldeguer, who retaliated with a closed fist.
Unleashing a lethal 13-0 run in the early minutes of the fourth quarter, Montana Pawnshop outclassed Cheeseball-Shark, 76-62, to gain a share of second spot with LBC behind Welcoat Paints.
From a see-sawing contest in the first three quarters, the Jewelers broke away after Egay Echavez, hero in his teams 65-62 squeaker over Blu All Purpose Thursday, ignited a decisive run with two steals and five straight points.
It was the Cheeseballs third straight defeat against one win.
