Five teams clash in Coke Go-for-Goal

MLANG, North Cotabato Five teams, led by host MLang National High, will dispute the Cotabato sub-regional finals in the 19th Coke Go-for-Goal under-16 football tournament starting today at the local turf.
The other contenders are Tupi National High of South Cotabato, Notre Dame of Isulan (Sultan Kudarat), General Santos National High and Cotabato City High-Rojas Annex.
The winner of the four-day tourney sponsored by Coca-Cola will advance to the Mindanao finals set Dec. 14-18 in Iligan City.
Gov. Manny Pinol has been invited to make the ceremonial kick together with MLang Vice Mayor Lito Pinol and Jojo Rodriguez, Philippine Football Federation national commissioner of the Coke Go-for-Goal program.
In a related development, Davao Sur National High blanked Sta. Cruz High, 2-0, while Malalag School of Fisheries blasted Sulop High, 4-0, at the start of the Davao del Sur Coke Go-for-Goal eliminations in Digos recently.
