Prizes worth more than P2.5 million topped by a Nissan Serena Q-RV-R automatic and a Nissan Sentra Exalta 1.6 GS are in The Grand Orchard Raffle coinciding with the sixth Founders Cup, the Orchard Golf and Country Clubs annual member-guest invitational on Nov. 23-24.
Aside from the latest model Nissan cars, entertainment, kitchen, fitness and home/office equipment showcases will also be given away in what promises to be the biggest ever raffles the Orchard will be holding.
The prizes will be drawn Nov. 24 during the awarding ceremonies. The minor prizes will be drawn earlier.
Meanwhile, preparations for the event which is the biggest in the club calendar are in full swing especially with the expected influx of local and foreign guests.
Club general manager Tom Clemente said that one of the big treats is the full re-opening of the Palmer course which was recently re-greened to the TifEagle breed.
"The Palmer re-opening is the much-awaited event, next of course to the raffles," said Clemente.
Luis Villa-Abrille, chairman of the 2002 Founders Cup organizing committee, said that there is a separate prize package for the tournament.
Generous sponsors, according to Villa-Abrille, are supporting the tourney. Tha major sponsors are Nissan Commonwealth, Taylor Made Adidas and Cebu Pacific Air. Minor sponsors are Exotic Gardens, The Turf Co., Clark Parnham Mfg., Globe Telecoms, Aero Plus Multi-Services and Emeritus Security and Maintenance System.
