-
The Subic Bay Freeport Zone will become one big party place when the final leg of the 2002 Asian Formula Challenge, which is organized by the Asian Formula 3 Corp. (AF3) and Colby Ventures, Inc., flags off this weekend.

Dubbed as "AF3 Weekend," the final leg of the 2002 Asian Formula Challenge, which is sponsored by the New Pagcor, Casino Filipino, Department of Tourism, Philippine Tourism Authority, SBMA, Red Horse Beer, FedEx, Gift Gate Swatch, Petron, and Subic Telecom, will be marked by a rock concert, a beach party and the last two rounds of the Asian Formula 3 Series – Asia’s first truly international championships for the Formula 3 cars.

Expected to see action are the Manila-based drivers headed by Great Britain’s Mark Goddard of Castrol Team Goddard, Jojo Silverio of Casino Filipino Team Tom’s Zed, Denso, JF3 Racing’s Richard Joson, Pepon Marave of Shell Racing Team, JP Tuason of TRP Team Oxygen and the newly-crowned Asian Formula Renault champion Enzo Pastor of Team T.E, who will be driving a Formula 3 car for the first time.

The foreign contingent will be bannered by France’s Philippe Descombes of FRD Harbour View, Koream Dong Wook Lee of E-Rain Racing, Hong Kong-based Marchy Lee and Paul Chan of Vertex Motorsports, and FRD drivers David Louie and Stephen Chau from Hong Kong.
