Lim cruises past Manduriao

Second seed Arithmetico Lim breezed past Jarryd Manduriao, 6-1, 6-0, yesterday to reach the boys 16-under quarterfinals in the Alberto Lina Masters Cup age-group tennis tournament at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
Other winners were No. 3 William Murrell over Russell Arcilla Jr., 6-1, 6-1, Mikoff Manduriao over Gerard Reyes, 6-4, 6-4, Christian Canlas over Daniel Macalino, 6-1, 6-2, Johnwill Baldonado over Michael Welchel, 6-2, 6-1, and James Murell over Ramon Sarmiento, 6-1, 6-1.
In the girls 16-under class, Michelle Panis defeated Bambi Zoleta, 6-1, 6-3, and Jessica Agra downed Julie Em Botor, 7-5, 6-2, to join No. 1 Bien Zoleta, No. 2 Ivy de Castro, No. 3 Catherine Flores, No. 4 Ma. Angelica Ngo, Melissa Orteza and Trudy Amoranto in the next round.
In other matches, it was No. 5 James Murrell over Gian Carlo Patino, 6-0, 6-0, and Tomic Apacible over Bryan Lontok, 6-2, 7-6 (6).
The weekend tournament is supported by Dunlop balls.
