Cabalutangan tops world shoot tourney

Kaye Cabalutangan gave the Philippines something to be proud of after she topped the World Shoot XIII held Sept. 16-21 in Pietersburg, South Africa.
Cabalutangan bested practical shooters from the United States, Australia, Brazil, Czechoslovakia, Italy, France and host South Africa to win the ladies division title.
The country also won the ladies category three years back courtesy of Athena Lee.
Sharing the limelight with Cabalutangan are countrymen Jag Lejano, Jay Morales, Roland Tan and Danny Torrevillas, who teamed up in ruling the modified section.
Pared down from thousands of shooters all over the world, Cabalutangan and the team of Lejano, Morales, Tan and Torrevillas emerged victorious, proudly clutching the trophies as the countrys flag was being raised during the awarding ceremonies.
