Thirteen of the best high school teams from across the country will vie for the prestigious Nike 3-on-3 national title at Dr. Funks Playground in the Activity Center of the Alabang Town Center tomorrow.
Provincial teams University of St. La Salle Bacolod, University of Cebu, University of the Visayas, Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School Cagayan de Oro, Emar Learning Center Davao, Don Bosco Academy Pampanga and Baguio City National High School will be arriving in Manila today for the championship.
They will be joined in by Metro Manila finalists International Christian School, Jose Abad Santos Memorial School, Philippine College of Criminology, San Beda College, St. Francis of Assisi Las Piñas and Xavier University.
The 13 teams qualified for the Finals after emerging champions in their respective areas during the three-month island-hopping tour of the Nike 3-on-3. Defending champion University of the Visayas from Cebu gained a slot as a special qualifier.
"We can expect a tough battle in the Finals, with the strongest teams from the provinces and in Metro Manila colliding in what could be the grandest Nike 3-on-3 ever," said tournament director Tanny Gonzalez.
