Rosales gears up for strong finish

NEW ROCHELLE, New York Jennifer Rosales came back strong in the third round Saturday as she turned in a four-under-par 67 and geared up for another strong finish in the Sybase Big Apple Classic at the Wykagyl Country Club here.
Rosales, the five-time RP Ladies Open champion now residing in Monterey Park, California, had previous rounds of 70-74. With a 211 total, she climbed into a tie for 21st from 41st place and is 10 shots behind leaders Annika Sorenstam and Grace Park (Story above).
It was the seventh straight tournament that the 23-year-old Filipina has reached the money rounds. In 16 starts this season, shes booked three top 10 finishes and total earnings of $184,732. This translates to an average take of $11,545 or P577,287 per tournament.
Fil-Am Dorothy Delasin carded her second even-par 71 in the tournament and joined Rosales at 211 along with four others, including Rachel Teske and Marissa Baena.
