The Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) will hold the sports-celebrity screening of Triple X (xXx), a movie from Columbia Pictures which stars Vin Diesel and Samuel Jackson, at 7 p.m. on Aug. 19 at Robinsons Place Manila Cinema 1.
The fundraiser is for the benefit of Boystown, Ospital ng Maynila, Manila Sports Council, Sisters of Mary School and national athletes who will compete in the Asian Games in Busan, Korea, in September and October.
PSA president Bert Cuevas and Columbia Pictures marketing manager Doris Torres signed a memorandum of agreement on Tuesday, granting the PSA the right to hold the screening.
Cuevas said he sees the cause-oriented event to be a success, especially after he was assured by the PSAs friends from executives in private and government firms to television and radio personalities that they would pitch in.
Triple X is an action-packed film filled with stunts and gadgetry. Vin Diesel is the star of the hit Fast and the Furious, while Samuel Jackson has many box-office hits under his belt.
